Why Lunges?

Lunges are a great exercise for strengthening the thigh and glute muscles (quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes; medius and maximus). Probably the most effective way to get the toned and tightened look for your rear end... If that's what your into. Our intentions with the lunge are to create stronger and more explosive hip movement through weighted lunges to lunge jumps. Some of our basic lunges include the stationary lunge, backward lunge and the military lunge (pic. above).
Tips: - Your torso should be erect with a good arch in your back. Keep from leaning forward. For the leg you step with, keep your foot in alignment with your hips. Do not align it with the trailing foot. Instead, use the hips-width rule that will provide for better balanced and a more stable lunge.

Hey Michael, great blog! I enjoy seeing all the pics. If I can make a suggestion, you should put your contact information somewhere in your profile. A few people have been asking me how to get more info and I think pointing them to your blog is a great way to encourage people to start the program.
